The key feature that BaseQL provides its users is a GraphQL endpoint for both Airtable and Google Sheets. Airtable can be integrated by signing up with BaseQL or directly accessing it through the BaseQL interface. Firstly, users must click the “Add New Data Source” option and select Airtable. Then, users must input a unique API key provided by BaseQL. Secondly, users can click the “Fetch Bases” option and choose their desired database from the list.
The Google Sheet installation is pretty straightforward. All the user needs to do is, sign up with BaseQL and add Google Sheets as the new data source.
Subsequently, the Google Sheet can be uploaded by adding its URL. Once authorized, the user can follow the software's simple set of automated instructions.
Furthermore, Advanced GraphiQL Explorer helps allow its users to read the API documentation right away. Users can now build complex queries with ease. This is done either by manually clicking on a panel or using the auto-complete feature.
This feature lets users quickly access current data, view previously updated data, and trigger a manual refresh.
In addition, a feature that ensures data security is secret tokens. Users can protect their endpoints by enabling an auth token. This token will allow the user to access data and services without having to enter their login credentials every time. Moreover, this token is encrypted and unique for every account.
Users can also enable a bearer token, a type of security token. It allows users/bearers to use the token in all ways other users can.
Additionally, BaseQL has a mutation feature that is disabled by default for security reasons. But coders who want to introduce mutations intentionally can enable it. Remember, the application advises its users to use a secret token along with it for protection.
The user’s spreadsheet is automatically cleansed by modifying table and column names to comply with GraphQL specifications. The application deburrs and removes special and Non-ASCII characters, trims spaces by camel casing, and underscores numbers.
Finally, users can delete their database from the system and re-create it anytime. -NCL Staff
